Fortunately, a technical problem that has thrown the solar industry into chaos is expected to be resolved.

According to reports, the problem stems from the new inverter standard, which was introduced at the same time as changes to the certification and paperwork requirements for DC isolators.

The Committee of Electrical Regulatory Authorities issued new rules affecting DC isolators (safety switches in solar systems), which went into effect in November.

Combined with the introduction of a new inverter standard, which aims to make inverters smarter and help control grid fluctuations, the standard will take effect on December 18. The new requirements put manufacturers under pressure to comply.

The director of the Clean Energy Council Distributed Energy Darren Gladman (Darren Gladman) said that the risk is that manufacturers will delay the supply of compliant products to the market for several months and other possible interruptions.

Now, according to CEC, Energy Safe Victoria seems to have proposed a way to give manufacturers another six months to prove full compliance.

"In the next few days, CEC will work with certification agencies and regulators on the details and ensure that other states follow suit accordingly," the organization said in a statement.

The Smart Energy Council also spoke on this issue. In a statement issued by CEO John Grimes on Monday, he said that although the details of the solution have not yet been finalized, it is expected that the issue will be resolved this weekend.
